Edward Maalouf, "He is a Lebanese competitive hand cyclist, and the only person to have won medals for Lebanon at the Paralympic Games in 2008.
Edward was born in December 11, 1968 in Hadath, Beqaa Valley, he has 2 children.
In 1995, while at work, he fell from the sixth floor of a building in Beyrouth, and was left paraplegic. In 1997, he began to train in disability sport." (Wikipedia)
- Since 2002 he moved to Netherlands, but always Competing & Winning for Lebanon.
- Edward has one dream: “To motivate people, to get them involved in sports, as it will change their lives as it did for me. And of course, I want to win a gold medal in Rio.”

- Holding new World Record in the marathon 1:05:35 Heidelberg, Germany 2007
- Winner of 2 bronze medals in Beijing Paralympics, China 2008
