33 North invites you to walk the Lebanon Mountain Trail
(LMT), the first long-distance hiking trail in Lebanon!
The LMT extends from Qbaiyat in the north of Lebanon to
Marjaayoun in the south, a 440-km (275 miles) path that
transects more than 75 towns and villages at altitude ranging
from 1,000 meters to 1,800 meters (about 3,000-5,400 feet)
above sea level. The LMT showcases the natural beauty and
cultural wealth of Lebanon’s mountains and demonstrates
the determination of the people of Lebanon to conserve this
unique heritage. The trail brings communities closer together
and expands economic opportunities in rural areas through
environmentally- and socially-responsible tourism.

---The
Lebanon Mountain trail – Tannourine section---
The
hike starts in the Tanourine cedar reserve and continues
downhill toward the Wadi Ain el Raha. From the Wadi we will
climb following an old rocky footpath uphill below the cliffs
of Shir el Ribaz until we reach the ridge line called Tawarii.
From There we will follow a footpath toward the spring of
Nabee el Kursi and then to the village of Houb and Tanourine
el Fawqa.

hiking trail in Lebanon, extending over 400 km from the
north to the south at an altitude ranging from 600 meters
to 2,000 meters above sea level".

Oyoun Orghosh - Wadi Johanam - Akkar - 3 days trekking---
Three
days of trekking from the Ouyoune Orgosh to reach the stunning
areas of Juniper trees in Hermel diving through the huge
cliffs of Wadi Johnam Akkar.
Day
0:
Arrival
to the area of Cedars of Becharre between 17:00 - 19:00
Dinner and overnight.
Day
1:
Wake
up call and breakfast;
Preparation to leave the hotel (prepare our hiking equipment
and lunch boxes);
Transportation by bus to Ouyoune orgosh;
5 hours hiking duration from Ouyoune Orgosh (2000 m) to
Jbeb el Homer and Boueib, and overnight in Lazzab lodge
(1860 m).
Trip odometer: 20 km
Day
2:
Wake up call and breakfast;
Preparation to leave the lodge (prepare our hiking equipment);
7 hours hiking from Lazzab lodge to Wadi Amiri;
Trip odometer: 15 km
Total uphill: 300 m
Lunch, dinner and overnight in Al Jord campsite (2120 m).
Day
3:
Wake
up call and breakfast;
Preparations to leave the campsite (prepare our hiking equipment
and lunch boxes);
Hike from Wadi Amiri via Wadi Johanam to reach the village
of Qamamine,
Trip odometer: 14 km
Total downhill: 1400m
Return to Becharre.
Arrival to Becharre, and departure to Beirut.
Physical
rating: challenging - (These trips are physically
demanding and best suited for strong people with high endurance
levels. Days can be long, often along difficult trails,
in remote regions).
Equipments:
good hiking boots, walking poles, water bottles, hat, and
sun glasses, sunscreen, lipstick, energy bars, backpack,
warm clothes, sweater, wind breaker (K-way), toiletries,
spare clothes, torch lamp.
