Architecture of Sursok Museum

There is a plantation near my home in Lousiana, USA called Nottoway whose architecture is very similar to the Sursok Museum.

Nottoway was completed in 1859.

I am amazed that a structure as distinct as Nottoway has a "twin" across the world in Beirut.
