Ammiq village is located in West Bekaa, 57 km away from Beirut capital.
Ammiq Wetlands is the largest remaining freshwater reserve in Lebanon. It is Lebanon’s most biodiversity-rich site and the best place to see wild birds ???? buffalos ???? Designated as a Ramsar site, an Important Bird Area and part of the UNESCO “Man & Biosphere” reserve of the Shouf mountain.
Our hike will start from the oak and pine forest of Ammiq, under Barouk natural reserve, reaching Tallit El Sa3louk from where we can admire a magnificent view of Ammiq wetlands and the colourful Bekaa valley. Then we will continue down the hill to the Ammiq wetlands, then walk in the middle of the Wetlands; beautiful sceneries await you where you can take marvellous pics and enjoy this peaceful place while
watching the wild birds crossing the area and resting on the freshwater of Ammiq.
